Thank you for visiting. This policy explains what personal information I collect on magdalenafurman.com, how I use it, who I share it with and what choices you have. You are not required to give me any personal information. If you would rather not, simply do not fill in the forms.

Who is responsible

Magdalena Furman, Copenhagen, Denmark, is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach me at hello@magdalenafurman.com.

Information I collect

Contact details. Your email address, when you request a free skill, buy a skill or an audit, email me or book a call.

Request details. Which free skills you picked in the form.

Purchase information. When you buy a paid skill, Stripe collects your payment details and email. I receive your email and what you bought. I never see your card number.

Messages and bookings. What you write to me, and the details you give when booking a call.

Usage data. Only if you allow it: pages viewed and buttons clicked, collected by Google Analytics.

Technical data. Your IP address and browser details are processed by my hosting provider and the spam check when you visit or submit a form, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How I use it

Delivering what you asked for. Sending your free or paid skill, and replying to your messages.

Running the business. Keeping accounting records and handling support after a purchase.

Security. Blocking bots and abuse, so the forms keep working for real people.

Improving the site. Understanding which pages are useful, but only if you allow Analytics.

I do not add you to a newsletter or mailing list, and I do not sell your data. If that ever changes, I will ask for your permission first and update this policy.

Legal basis

Handling your request or a contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Free skills, purchases and bookings.

Legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)). Keeping accounting records, as Danish law requires.

Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)). Answering enquiries and keeping the site secure.

Consent (art. 6(1)(a)). Google Analytics, and nothing else.

Who I share it with

I use these services to run the site. They process data on my behalf or under their own terms.

  • ResendSends the emails (your free skill, your purchase, replies).
  • Cloudflare TurnstileChecks that a form is filled in by a person and not a bot.
  • VercelHosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
  • StripeTakes payment for paid skills. Stripe handles your card details; I never see them.
  • Cal.comHandles booking a call if you choose to book one.
  • Google AnalyticsMeasures how the site is used. Only runs if you allow it.
  • LinkedInShows an embedded video, only after you click "Load video".

I may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.

International transfers

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or EEA, it is transferred under the safeguards each provider offers, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Data retention

Free skill requests. Kept until you ask me to delete them.

Purchase records. Kept as long as Danish bookkeeping rules require.

Messages and bookings. Kept as long as they are useful for the conversation.

Analytics data. Kept by Google according to the retention set in my Analytics account.

Cookies

The site does not need cookies to work. It stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, which is not a tracking cookie. Google Analytics is the only thing that sets cookies, and only if you allow it in the banner. If you deny, nothing from Google Analytics loads. The LinkedIn video may set LinkedIn's own cookies, but only after you click to load it.

  • _ga, Google Analytics, 2 years. Tells visitors apart so visits can be counted.
  • _ga_G-1JENEP32CB, Google Analytics, 2 years. Keeps session state.

You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Your choices

To use any of these rights, write to hello@magdalenafurman.com. I will reply as soon as I can.

Right to access You can ask what data I hold about you and get a copy of it.

Right to correct You can ask me to fix data that is wrong or incomplete.

Right to delete You can ask me to delete your data. I will, unless the law requires me to keep it, such as accounting records.

Right to restrict You can ask me to pause how I use your data while a question about it is being sorted out.

Right to portability You can ask for the data you gave me in a format you can reuse.

Right to object You can object to processing that is based on my legitimate interest.

Right to withdraw consent You can take back a consent at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. This does not affect what happened before.

If you think I have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and I use established providers for hosting, email and payments. No system is perfectly secure, so I cannot promise absolute protection, but I take care to keep your information safe. The site is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top. For anything about your data, write to hello@magdalenafurman.com.
